My work centres around deep learning based image analysis, 3D reconstruction, unpaired image translation, and landmark detection for surgical scene understanding. Additionally, I conceptualised and lead the development of smartMVR: a software tool to perform quantitative 3D analysis and augmented reality visualisations of the mitral valve.

In my role as a researcher, I developed novel deep learning methods for self-supervised depth estimation from stereo-endoscopic images, to generate realistic images from patient-specific heart valve replica, and for multi-view temporal landmark detection of suture points.
